SOLAS / Education and Training Boards (ETBs)
What is this?
Provides free training through local Education and Training Boards, including apprenticeships, traineeships, specific skills training, and community training. You can keep your social welfare payments while training.
Am I eligible?
Unemployed people in Ireland, with priority for those receiving social welfare payments. Some programs are also open to employed people looking to change careers.

Pays tuition for approved tech training programs (coding bootcamps, data science, cybersecurity, etc.) plus a housing allowance during training. Does not reduce your GI Bill balance.
CHIPS Act Workforce Provisions

Funds training programs for semiconductor manufacturing jobs, including technician training, engineering education, and workforce development partnerships between industry and schools.
